Ingredients:
White Mixture
- 2 eggs
- 2 potatoes, cooked and mashed
- 1 small onion, sautéed in oil
Brown Mixture
- 1/2 pound ground beef or dark turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 potato, cooked and mashed
- 1 small onion, sautéed in oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients for white mixture.
- Spread onto greased foil or parchment paper, in a circular shape, half an inch thick.
- Brush top of chicken with oil.
- Combine all ingredients for dark mixture.
- Spread onto greased foil or parchment paper, in a circular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Brush top of meat with oil.
- Invert brown meat mixture directly over white meat mixture and roll up, leaving paper behind.
- Re-wrap well in foil and twist edges. Place meat loaf in pan of salted water.
- Cook on the stove or bake, covered, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one and a half hours.
