A bit of a change from the regular, this homemade applesauce is perfect for these crisp fall evenings
Ingredients:
- 4 quinces
- 2 ripe pears
- 2 eating apples (ex McIntosh)
- 2 cooking apples (ex Cortland)
- 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Peel and quarter all the fruit.
- Place in a Pyrex dish, sprinkle with vanilla sugar and cover tightly with foil. Bake for one hour.
- Mash with the back of a fork, or for finer consistency blend with immersion blender.
