First we need the big picture. Then we probe individually. Rosh Hashana is the forest. Yom Kippur is each tree. How do our actions differ, From the goals Hashem (God) has set? Are we fulfilling our life’s purpose? Or can we grow higher yet? First comes the big picture: How great our pleasure could be! Then we reach closer to Hashem, Like each gnarled, yet yearning tree.
