How many people really have had personal first hand experience of a “higher hand”. I certainly have and it makes me feel very humble and certainly greatfull . That my sons are “Shomer Shabat” and one is a Rabbi has nothing to do with my personal experiences and feelings. However in the distant past people seem to have had more first and experience of a superior heavenly body. The escape from slavery in Egypt was a perfect example. Do we celebrate the “pass over” or are we commanded to remember?
